Music has always been a part of Helena's life.
She studied clarinet, saxophone and later switched to acoustic guitar. In college, Helena was bitten by the radio bug and soon after joining the station was elected station manager, a position she held for two years. "It was a great opportunity, dealing with the daily operations of a small business." Her efforts didn't go unnoticed and upon graduation she was offered a full time On-Air / Production position at WSAN, a progressive radio station.
During that
time her responsibilities included recording live
concerts from the Roxy Theater and she was able to
work with, and interview up-and-coming artist like
Melissa Manchester, Rush, Nazareth, Supertramp,
Billy Joel, Heart, Kiss, Styx, Hall & Oates,
Bruce Springsteen, and Peter Frampton, to name a
few. It was during this time when her desire for
better production capabilities led to the birth of
Creative Sound Studios.
Staying on the cutting edge has been a primary goal throughout the more than 30 year history of the studio. In
fact, CSS was the first studio in the region to move into the non-linear realm with the acquisition of Digidesign's
Pro Tools back in 1990. Helena is especially proud of the current facility. "The rooms sound wonderful, and we are one of the premier studios in the Lehigh Valley. I'm especially proud of my staff and what we have accomplished."
